Junior Achievement of New York

YOU GAVE A FEW HOURS OF YOUR TIME & OPENED UP A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY & POTENTIAL

Dear Bob-

Junior Achievement of New York would like to thank you for coordinating such a terrific JA Job Shadow event on Friday, February 1, 2008. The WBLS family was extremely gracious, kind, welcoming and informative. We want you to know that the gift of your time and attention was valued and appreciated by the student participants. You’ve planted seeds of inspiration and you have encouraged JA Job Shadow students from the Brooklyn Prep High School & MS 324 to begin the process of preparing and planning for their futures.

We deeply appreciate the time each of your colleagues gave to the students during the job shadow session. Each of you made them feel so comfortable. The students left with a firm understanding and appreciation for the range of career opportunities available in Radio broadcasting. The post-event verbal student feedback was positive and encouraging. With your help over 300 students were served during the February 2008 Job Shadow Program kick-off month. In addition, your commitment to supporting the mission to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy continues to be invaluable and is deeply appreciated.

By sharing your education and career knowledge, insight and resources, you have helped students to connect success in school to success in the workplace. By giving them a few hours of your time, you have opened up a world of opportunity and potential to these young people – and we thank you for it.

We look forward to exploring ways in which we can deepen our partnership with WBLS over the coming year.
